It’s that wonderful time of year again for our annual ‘Mother’s Day Tea”!  I would like to invite you to join us on May 9th (Saturday not Sunday) for afternoon Tea at 1:30pm.  This event is near and dear to my heart as I have hand-picked the whimsical assortment of teacups, fine china and teapots that are used.  Nothing matches - which perfects the colorful yet glamorous look I strive to achieve.  Upon arrival you will be greeted with a glass of either sparkling mimosa or fruit cider on the lower pavilion.  From there, your party will be seated on the upper pavilion to enjoy a traditional afternoon tea.  While your party is settling in, my team will present a few humorous “Tea Tips” along with “do and don’t” then tea is served!  Each party will be served a lovely tower of sweets and savories to enjoy while sipping tea.  Afternoon tea was created as a means for women to socialize – so - put away your cell phones, don’t think about your husbands or chores, and ENJOY yourself with your loved ones. 

This day is for you!

If this is your first visit to Historic Cedarwood please take a moment to tour the original house which was built in 1835.  The house has served multiple purposes.  It has been a residence, a stagecoach stop, a boarding house and is one of the few remaining “witness structures” to the Trail of Tears.  You and your party are free to roam the grounds and have a memorable afternoon.
